The good news is that wedding invitation etiquette rules aren't that complicated, after all. The rules are actually much simpler and straightforward than you think. And no matter the case, they're there to serve as a guidelines. The most important rule of all is that you create a beautiful wedding invitation that represents you, your love and the big day to come (and communicates the vital details of the wedding) – so feel absolutely free to riff off these wedding invitation wording rules to create your own.
This pretty handmade invitation idea for weddings is perfect for your vintage, rustic themed celebration. Both bride and groom can be proud of this lovely fold out style invitation. With plenty of room for creative wording and the cutest fonts, this invitation belongs at the top of the list for any girl looking to plan her dream wedding. This site has several rustic wedding invitations with free printable templates. Does not require you to buy all kinds of stuff.

Finish: Your paper finish will affect how you’re able to print and how much ink your invitation will take. Glossy papers take a lot more ink and longer to dry. Linen papers and papers with more texture have a much higher tendency to bleed, and so they won’t work with some at-home printers where you can’t change your ink settings. If you’re not interested in researching finishes because you’re not a weird nerd (like myself) who likes to feel on paper, a matte card stock is an easy, relatively foolproof option that will more than likely work for the printer you’re using.
How should I address my invitations? This can get pretty complex pretty quick! Generally, you address the envelopes to an entire family as one entity. You can list out the individual family members on the RSVP card if you feel clarification is needed. The same goes for couples, they receive one invitation addressed to both. Single people are given a nudge to bring a date by simply adding "plus guest" to the end of their name.
From the internet to your best friend to your nearly-in-laws, wedding tips are superabundant. Craft a gracious but noncommittal response to suggestions, and offer it with a genuine smile. In an unpressured moment, choose the ideas that fit your vision and your budget, and be thankful so many people want your special day to be wonderful! If you are trying to manage the number of guests, put a tiny card that states, "We have reserved __ seats for you." This is a subtle and respectful way of lessening the headcount.

You can absolutely switch up your wedding invitation wording to include the name of a deceased loved. One tactful and meaningful way to do this is to change the format slightly to accommodate the word "late" in front of your family member’s name. (Beyond the invitation wording, you have plenty of ways to honor a deceased parent during your ceremony and reception.) It can look something like this.
Even though we're serious stationery lovers, it's okay if all you really want out of your wedding invitation is a piece of paper that informs guests of a date, time and a location. If a simple invite is more your style and you want to keep paper costs low you can go the DIY printable template route—just remember anytime you take on a sizable wedding task solo there may be a couple more headaches in store. For example, if you don't have access to a high-quality printer or a hefty ink supply you're going to run into some issues. If you have an extra long guest list, you'll be camped out at the printer feeding it paper for a couple solid hours.

We just got our invitations from elegant wedding invites and omg are they gorgeous. They were so easy to work with, they were happy to make any changes I asked of them and i went back and forth with them a million times changing the font changing what I wanted it to say. They made the changes and would send me an example of what it would look like. They didn’t place the order until I was happy and approved the invitation for printing. If you are afraid to order, do not fear you will love your invitations and you won’t spend a ton of money. If you have concerns about not having them do the guest address you can print on clear labels, you can find a calligrapher or if you have a cricut you can use the pen to address the envelopes. The assembly of the invitations was very easy even if your not crafty you can do it. I am so happy with how these came out and with the quick delivery, I think they came a week after I finally approved for print. Thank you Elegant Wedding Invite!
